The product page at barcodelookup.com is read first with a stealth browser, then Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, UPCitemdb, BarcodeAPI.org, and EAN-Search. The first source with a product record wins, and every contributing source is named on the result.
Product lookup works for UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, and EAN-13. Logistics symbols such as Code 128, Code 39, and ITF-14 are accepted by the scanner but usually have no product record because no product database indexes them.
No account, no tracking, and no API key. Lookup history stays in this browser's local storage. Successful lookups are cached for 24 hours to spare the upstream sources.
